Bit of an update....

As most of you are aware we are in the middle of a bit of a tour so things are a bit quiet on the web front.

Most of the tour is over, but we still have a few dates left, so if you're in Manchester, Hull, Derby, Wakefield, Sheffield, Worksop then you can still see us.

We have been playing five brand new songs on this tour so that we are comfortable with them when we record later in the year. We also have a more songs in the writing stages which are being worked on when we have the time.

We still have loads of new t-shirts and CD's to buy form the merch site and at gigs...

Scotland Here We Come...

We have our first two gigs in Scotland next Saturday and Sunday (2nd & 3rd April). Our Edinburgh gig was unfortunately cancelled, so we now have a second one in Dumfries.

O2 Academy Gig and Thanks

We have been asked to play with Crimes of Passion at the O2 Academy in Sheffield on the 19th February, We have some cheap tickets so please get in touch at info@stonerun.co.uk should you wish to come along.

A huge thanks to everyone that supported the band throughout 2010 is was a great year playing around 100 shows and releasing 2 ep's. We are back in the studio at the moment writing new tracks that we will be hoping to play at the up and coming gigs.

Well what a couple of weeks it has been, what with surgery, motorbike accidents, man flu and car problems...oh and snow....jeez!

Tonight we return! We are playing Rio's in Bradford! and tomorrow we are at The Clubhouse in Stockport!

Thanks to everyone that came down to the gigs on Saturday and Sunday! We had a great time in Doncaster at The Leopard and at Camden's Dublin Castle. We hope to be back at both venues next year!

Happenings...

Apologies for the lack of updates on the stonerun.co.uk side of things. We have had a bit of a break over the last month or so, but we are back for our little summer stint. See the gigs on the bottom\of this page for more details. We also did a couple of shows at Sheffield's Corporation for their Battle of the Bands which we won. There should hopefully be some photo's and videos very soon. We also have a new video for Innocence, but are having technical difficulties with YouTube at the moment - so keep watching this space.
We are literally travelling to London as I type this to do our Dublin Castle gig in Camden tonight, which should be fun, so get down if you are in that area.

EP III is also in the making and we are having fun rehearsing and recording ready for a September release.

So that's about it.... oh, keep watching for some VERY interesting news which we should be able to elaborate on soon.

Sorry for the lack of updates since April. We have been busy writing new stuff as well as finishing off the tour, organising the next tour and trying to get the "Scissor Choice" video done and dusted.
Anyway the tour is done. We have some one off gigs from now until October. Like to thank all the venues and bands we played with, and look forward to seeing you all again.
We should have the video done this week too so keep your eye's out for that!

Corporation Tonight!

We have been asked to step in at short notice to play Corp tonight in Sheffield. Tickets are £6 which gets you in to see 4 bands and the club after. First band on at 7:45, we should be on around 9:30.

Don't stop believing...

Well things have been hectic the past couple of weeks. We have done about 15 gigs so far since the stint started. We are shattered, but powering through. Had to cancel a gig in Oldham due to illness, hopefully we'll be back there soon.
The EP's are selling well, grab one when you can.
"Don't Blame Yourself" is also on the International version of Classic Rock Magazine cover CD. We hope to have a track off the new EP on the UK version in the coming months.
There are loads of pics and updates now on Facebook, so feel free to head over there and take a gander. More gigs coming soon, Burton-on-trent on Friday and Coalville on Saturday, hope to see you there!

Hello all, well it has been a busy week this week, we finished mixing the EP on Monday and that will be mastered this afternoon so keep an eye out for new tracks online very soon.
We also did BBC Raw Talent on Tuesday which aired on Thursday. Click to listen.
We also played West Street Live on Wednesday - some awesome pics here.
Last night we played Grand Central which was really good, some good bands and many many plays of Holy Diver.
Tonight we are at Dickens in Rotherham, new EP's should be available and we have taken stock of a batch of new t-shirts...

Wakefield Rock Festival

We had an amazing night at The Snooty Fox las night. All the bands were awesome. It was a tie for first place, and The Idol Dead got it in the end. BUT....... we will still be playing at Wakefield Festival later on this year. Thank you to everyone who came to see us, your support was fantastic.

So things are coming along nicely in the StoneRun camp. The songs are sounding tight in the room, which has also had a bit of a clear out too, which should make things easier and sound better when we're rehearsing. Altogether things are shaping up nicely for the first round of gigs on 25/26/27th Feb. Check the dates below or over on MySpace for more details...
Also had a photoshoot on Saturday which was eventful, and we almost had a sixth member in the form of Security escorting us off the premises. Good fun though.
So get yourself familiar with the gigs and get some pencilled in. We should have the new EP available!

Hey all, you may notice a change in this site from previous. We thought that with Twitter and Facebook and MySpace and ReverbNation and YouTube; we didn’t need another site almalgamating all the information on those, so instead kind of an informal ‘on the road’ random blog thing which we can update on the go, without spouting serious stuff down your neck.

So hope you enjoy.

Oh and by the way, I am enjoying rehearsing the drums for the tour and the new EP ;)
